Pressure Reducing Valves



Pressure Reducing Valves are hydraulic equipment to reduce pressure in the pipes of buildings that have more than 10 floors, and also for houses that have pressure above the standard limits.


Pressure Reducing Valves aim to reduce pressure on the system input (high and variable) to a low and constant output pressure, independent of changes in system flow rates. The output pressure must be kept under constant control.

VRP Premium’s Pressure Reducing Valves are the only ones that do not present the inconvenient and outdated systems of springs or set screws, since its mechanism is automatic and works according to the servo motor principle.

They keep the static pressure closed when there is no water consumption, allowing the downstream pressure to remain low in relation to the flux, according to the reducing capacity.

(Pascal’s Principle) self-adjustable, they eliminate all the high-pressure problems in the water distribution networks. The pressure drop does not exceed 5%, and the work of the servo motor principle eliminates the area of difference.

As an advantage, it is possible to highlight its operation in low or absent flow, a factor that ensures the pressure reduction, as specified, even in times when there is no consumption.

As a hydraulically self-regulated  axial flow valve, the load loss in the operating range can be considered nule, as the valve open itself as consumption increases downstream.

Rubber Expansion Joints



Rubber Expansion Joints are designed by VRP Premium to absorb vibrations in pipes, axial, lateral, angular movements and also for equipment working in varying conditions of pressure and temperature.

Made by and elastomer body and carbon steel terminals, they are the ideal solution to absorb thermic and/or mechanic movements with reduced transmitted efforts.

Produced with resistant chemical elastomers, like EPDM and nitrile, internally coated with PTFE, etc. The product has a long life cycle.

The joints are internally reinforced with synthetic tissues  and metallic rings that ensure high mechanic resistance to operate under internal pressure or vacuum.

Usages of Rubber Expansion Joints

They prevent water hammer in booster engines.

They eliminate the cavitation generated by the vibration of the booster engine.

They protect the fire pumps.

They protect suction and discharge pumps.

Analog gauges are instruments developed in VRP Premium to measure the fluid pressure contained in closed containers. VRP Premium’s gauges were developed to monitor accurately liquids, vapor and gases in equipment.

Retention/check valves



Retention valves or check valves are devices whose main feature is to protect hydraulic systems from the water flow when the booster pumps stop and also for the restraint protection in excess pressure on the risers of fire.


Check valves for booster pumps are generally installed at the beginning of the discharge pipes, between the output of the booster pumps and before the shut-off valve, to protect the booster pumps from water hammer and cavitation, resulting from the sudden cessation of water runoff, especially due to drops in electric system. This is the better position because facilitates inspection and possible repairs.
